Limited funds are available to assist with the out-of-pocket costs for brain health and wellness activities for those most impacted by the tragedy at Sandy Hook School. For a list of frequently asked questions about eligibility and how to submit claims for coverage, please click here CRF Fund 2019
In 2020 the Fund will provide payment (or reimbursement) of authorized mental health treatments totaling up to $1,500 for eligible individuals and or families. Health & Wellness activities and Social Emotional Enrichment Services are no longer covered by the Foundation please click here for 2020 Foundation Guidelines.
Funding is provided through the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. Past contributors have also included the Newtown Lions Club, the Rotary Club of Newtown, and the Newtown Memorial Fund.
We often receive feedback from families who are struggling to explain the Sandy Hook tragedy to children who were not yet in school at the time or who have moved to Newtown since the tragedy. The Resiliency Center of Newtown (RCN) has developed programs to help families discuss this with their children. Please call RCN at 203-364-9750 to learn more.
